OData

The Microsoft OData Connector lets you retrieve published and available Collection versions that are associated with OData. You can access and work with your data directly in any tool that is able to connect with OData Connector.

Set up OData

Use OData to analyze data, create reports, and manage your Data Hub datasets in your workflow.
The following directions explain how to use OData using Excel.
  1. Open Excel and go to
    Data
    , then the
    Get Data
    tab.
  2. Select
    From Other Sources
    , then
    From OData Feed
    .
  3. Keep the default
    Basic
    option selected in the
    OData Feed
    window, then enter your specific regional URL.
    For Original Records in a Collection:
    • AMERS - https://api.onesourcetax.com/data-hub/v1/query/odata/collectionservice/
    • APAC - https://api-apac.onesourcetax.com/data-hub/v1/query/odata/collectionservice/
    • EMEA - https://api-emea.onesourcetax.com/data-hub/v1/query/odata/collectionservice/
    For Aggregated Records in a Collection:

  4. Select
    OK
    .
  5. Select
    Basic
    .
  6. For ONESOURCE portal single-client users:
    1. Enter your ONESOURCE sign in information.
  7. For ONESOURCE portal multi-client users:
    1. In the
      Username
      field, enter your ONESOURCE username and Client ID in the format of
      <ONESOURCE Username>/<Client ID>
      .
    2. Enter your ONESOURCE password in the
      Password
      field.
  8. For users who use Single Sign-On (SSO) and don't have ONESOURCE credentials:
    1. In the
      Username
      field, either leave it blank or enter any value.
    2. Enter a bearer token in the format of
      Bearer <value of the token>
      .
  9. Select
    Connect
    .
    A list of Collection versions is listed on the left-hand side of your screen.
  10. You can select an item in the list to work with the data. Choose to preview the data, load it into Excel, or change it using Excel tools.
