Roll over form data for one or more clients in e-Form RS

From the Rollover Text Data screen  you can copy all text data fields or all form data on client forms from the prior year to the current year. Use the
Rollover Text Data Only
option to roll over text data only for all forms assigned to a client or for a single client form. Use the
Rollover All Form Data
option to roll over all data on a form.
  1. Select
    Rollover Text Data
    from the Administration menu.
  2. Mark the checkboxes for one or more clients. You can also mark
    Select All
to select all the clients in the list.
  3. Select
    Run Data Rollover
, then choose one of the following:
    • Rollover Text Data Only
to rollover only text data fields.
    • Rollover All Form Data
to rollover all data fields on the form.
  • If a form is rolled before the new form for the year is released, the description for that form will appear in red on the Client Form List. The description will change to black when the form becomes available.
  • Some forms, such as amended returns and change of address forms, will not roll over. Some forms may change too much from year to year to be rolled over. You may receive a message after a rollover if this is the case. It's possible that a form may be rolled over before we know that it has changed too much for a cohesive transfer. If that is the case, the form will have to be deleted from the client form list and re-added to the current year after the new form is released.
  • Some data may be moved to a field that is incorrect. Delete the data that is in an incorrect field and re-enter it in the correct field. Since there is no provision available to change the target fields for rollover, a block can be activated to prevent the source fields from being transferred.
  • To remove the rolled data from an entire page, right-click the form and select
    Clear All Fields
from the context menu. This will permanently remove the data from the form and the client database. This data is not recoverable. Profile data is displayed again when the page is reopened.
