Startup screen in e-Form RS

An overview of what you can do from the
Startup screen
, which includes the menu bar and Navigation pane.

The Startup screen

When you open
e-Form RS
, the
Home (Quick Start) screen
displayed by default. It has a Navigation pane with
Clients
,
Forms
,
Publications and Research
,
Options and Security
, and
Administration
menus. There is also a menu bar, which has all the menus from the Navigation pane but with the addition of
File
,
Home
,
Help
, and
Log out
.

Startup screen menu commands

File
From the
File
menu, you can set your printer calibration, import client data and export client forms.
Home
On the
Home
page, you can browse a list of the most recently added forms, contact
e-Form RS
support to ask a question, take the
e-Form RS
Quick tutorial, and get product and account information.
Clients
From the
Clients
menu, you can add, open, edit and delete client profiles and forms, assign preparers, and add notes.
Forms
From the
Forms
menu, you can show selected forms, add forms to clients, print blank forms, and export a list of forms to as a
Microsoft Excel
worksheet.
Publications & Research
From the
Publications & Research
menu, you can get links to useful publications, tax information from
Checkpoint
, and the official
IRS
website.
Options & Security
From the
Options & Security
menu, you can change your password and set your user preferences.
Administration
From the
Administration
menu, you can manage users, clients, and preparers. As an administrator, you can set user rights, security measures, manage your client database, and search saved forms.
Help
From the
Help
menu, you can get: answers questions about
e-Form RS
, additional support, quick reference guides, and training.
