Specify client data and integrated application file locations

To change the location of current-year client data, you need to tell Fixed Assets CS and other integrated CS Professional Suite applications where the relevant files are located.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    User Preferences
    .
  2. On the
    File Locations
    tab, select
    Fixed Assets CS
    .
    note
    The location of your Fixed Assets CS files is listed here.
  3. If the location of the data files is wrong, select the item, then
    Modify
    .
  4. Specify the
    Data Location
    , then select
    OK
    .
    note
    The
    Data Locations
    dropdown list includes all locations entered by going to
    Setup
    ,
    System Configuration
    , then the
    Data Locations
    tab.
  5. If you use UltraTax CS, open UltraTax CS and go to
    Setup
    ,
    User Preferences
    , then the
    File Locations
    tab to specify the new location.
  6. If you use Accounting CS and want to make journal entries or journal entry transaction files using Fixed Assets CS, select
    CS Accounting Products
    and specify the locations.
  7. If you use FileCabinet CS, select
    FileCabinet CS
    and specify the file locations.
    note
    If the FileCabinet CS location isn't available, you'll need to set up the location for integration with Fixed Assets CS.
  8. Select
    OK
    .
