Troubleshoot Upload Documents service if it can't communicate with the server

Follow these steps if GoFileRoom Upload Documents service can't communicate with the server. You might receive a Scanned Service Alert email.
  1. Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.
  2. Make sure that GoFileRoom is allowed by your browser as a trusted site.
  3. Open the following folder based on your version of Windows:
    • 32-bit:
      C:\Program Files\GoFileRoom\GFRUploadDocuments\UploadDocuments\Error
    • 64-bit:
      C:\Program Files (x86)\GoFileRoom\GFRUploadDocuments\UploadDocuments\Error
    Each ERR file in the directory represents a document that failed to upload after 6 attempts.
  4. Right-click the first ERR file and select
    Open with
    , then
    Notepad
    .
  5. Go to the first line containing
    Document attempts
    and change the value from
    6
    to
    0
    .
  6. Save and close the file.
  7. Right-click the ERR file you've just edited and select
    Rename
    .
  8. Rename the file's extension from
    .err
    to
    .xml
    .
  9. Follow these steps to restart the Upload Documents service:
    1. Open Windows Control Panel.
    2. Select
      System and Security
      .
    3. Select
      Administrative Tools
      , then
      Services
      .
    4. Right-click
      GoFileRoom Upload Documents
      and select
      Start
      .
