IND-154-01 e-file error

Error

If CTCODCAmt in the return has a non-zero value, then each DependentSSN in DependentDetail with corresponding EligibleForChildTaxCreditInd checked must not be an ITIN. You may be eligible to claim the "Credit for other dependents" if the child resided with you in the United States and you meet the other requirements for the credit. (rule IND-154-01)

Cause

If claiming the Child Tax Credit for any dependents, the dependent needs to have a SSN instead of an ITIN, as ITINs are used for certain nonresident and resident aliens and dependents who can't get a SSN.
