Aggregate New York beneficiary information

These steps walk you through changing the e-file name, attaching the XML file, and creating the aggregated e-file.
  1. In the sub return, create the e-file. The New York e-file will have an extension of XXXXXXXX.XNY. Change this to XXXXXXXXNY.XML.
  2. In the primary return, go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    ,
    New York
    ,
    E-file
    ,
    Attachments
    , and then
    K-1 Aggregation
    .
  3. Select
    NY K1 Aggregation
    .
  4. Select
    Attach K-1 Aggregation XML File
    .
  5. For
    Attachment Jurisdiction
, select New York K-1 Aggregation.
  6. Browse
to and select the XML file that was created in the previous steps, and then
    Upload
    .
  7. Select
    Done
. Repeat this process for each XML file to be included.
  8. After attaching the XML files, confirm the XML attachment details are correct in the K-1 Attachments Summary. The attached XML files must be validated to detect XML errors. If validation errors exist, delete the attachment, correct the errors, create the XML file, and re-attach.
  9. If the beneficiary information in the primary return's not to be included in the XML file, select
Suppress system generated Form IT-205, Schedule C
    .
  10. In the primary return, on the
    New York K1 Aggregation
page, override the total number of beneficiaries. This number will be included in the total number of beneficiaries in the aggregated XML file.
  11. Still in the primary return, go to
    Organizer
    ,
    E-file
    , and then
    Enable/Create
    .
  12. In the
    Enable
    column select New York.
  13. And lastly, select
    Create Return E-file
    .
