IP allowlisting for email notifications

When an event occurs in Tracker that triggers an email, such as the creation of a new user, Tracker immediately generates the email and sends the email to the intended recipient(s). All email that leaves the Tracker system may come from multiple IP addresses.
The email will be sent from one of the following email addresses:
  • Legal Unattended (unattended@serengetilaw.com)
  • Law Firm User (user@.com)
  • Client (user@.com)

Unable to relay

There are cases where an e-mail will be addressed as coming from a user at your company or law firm. Some mail servers (and spam filters) are configured to perform a reverse DNS lookup or to block messages from an external mail server delivering mail from an internal address. In both of these cases, adding *.thomsonreuters.com and *.tr.com as an exception and a trusted mail server should allow these messages to be relayed to the user.
Spam filter
Many spam filters have the ability to whitelist e-mail addresses and/or the ability to allow all messages from an identified server, based on IP address or DNS. Adding unattended@serengetilaw.com, *.thomsonreuters.com and *.tr.com to the white list should prevent most messages from getting caught.
