Moving a Matter-Level Document to a Different Folder

Required role | Matter Editor or Matter Administrator for the matter
Folders are a great way to organize matter-level documents. Folders must be created and maintained by a Company System Administrator; however anyone with matter editor or administrator access to the matter can move documents around in those folders.
To move a document to a different folder in the same matter:
  1. Select
    Matters
    >
     Matter list
    in the left navigation.
  2. Locate and click the matter to open it then click
    Documents
    .
  3. Double-click a document in the list, or right-click and select
    View Details
    .
  4. On the toolbar, click
    Edit
    .
  5. In the Edit window, select the Folder you want to move the document to.
  6. Click
    Save
    .
To confirm the move was successful, filter the document list by the folder you moved it to, and then find it in the list.
