Set up integration with HighQ

The HighQ system is an intelligent legal operations hub from Thomson Reuters on that lets you streamline collaboration, legal service delivery, legal operations, and client engagement. Corporate legal departments use HighQ to manage documents and contracts, collaborate internally and with outside counsel, and automate workflows. With HighQ you can centralize matter information in one place and manage contracts, as well as store, update, access, and share matter documents.
When HighQ is integrated with Tracker you can:
  • Link Tracker matters to HighQ sites
  • Use HighQ as the document management system for storing matter-related documents and emails
Once the integration is set up, authentication between Tracker and HighQ is seamless.
Required role | A Company System Administrator who also has a HighQ account with system administration privileges.

Before You Begin

  • You must have an active HighQ account and will need to know your specific HighQ instances and URLs.
  • Legal Tracker must be registered as an application with HighQ. To do this, in your HighQ instance go to
    System Admin > Application Registration > Add Application
    .
  • After you add Legal tracker as an application in HighQ, the client id and secret key will be available on the API application registration page. You will need this information to fill out the fields on the HighQ Configuration page.
  • You need the ID of the site template that will be used when new sites are created from Tracker. In your HighQ instance go to
    Manage Template
    and select an existing site template. In the web address bar, look for the value of the
    metadata.siteID
    parameter. You will enter the value of this parameter on the HighQ configuration page in Tracker.

Configuring Integration with HighQ

To set up integration between High Q and Tracker:
  1. Select
    Settings
    in the left navigation.
  2. Under
    Integrations
    , select
    HighQ
    .
  3. Fill in the fields as they apply to you. All fields are required.
    • The client instance URL is the web address of your HighQ instance.
    • You can find the client ID and secret key on the HighQ API application registration page.
    • You can find the site template ID in the web address bar of your browser when you go to the Manage Template page in HighQ.
  4. Check the
    Enable HighQ integration
    checkbox. If you want to save your settings but do not have all the information you need, you can save partial settings. To do this, leave this box unchecked.
  5. Click
    Synchronize sites
    .
  6. On the toolbar, select
    Save & close
    .

2 way synchronization

For synchronization between Tracker and HighQ iSheet to work correctly, the Matter management template in HighQ should be imported and active.
The template should contain a Legal Tracker – Matter management sheets template.
This sheet must contain a column Internal matter id.
