Setting Your Preferred Currency

You can set your own preference for currency only if your company system administrator has enabled user currency preferences in Settings.
Your user currency preference affects the following three features of Tracker:
  • Display of monetary amounts:
    Every time a monetary amount is entered in a currency other than your preferred currency, Tracker converts the amount to your preferred currency and displays both amounts simultaneously. Your preferred currency is always shown in black, and the original currency amount is always shown in dark orange.
  • Working with different currencies:
    If you need to work with international currencies, such as adjusting an invoice that has been submitted in a currency other than your preferred currency, Tracker automatically converts the amount to your preferred currency and displays it simultaneously.
  • Reports:
    All monetary amounts in any report that you generate will be displayed in your preferred currency. Tracker does not show multiple currencies in reports. In addition, if you export data from a report to a .csv file, that data will also be exported in your preferred currency. The only exceptions are invoice exports that display the actual amount of the invoice.
  1. Click the
    Account
    icon in the left navigation.
  2. Click
    Preferences
    .
  3. In the
    General Options
    section, select your currency preference from the
    Preferred Currency
    drop-down list.
  4. Use the
    Number format
    and
    Preferred Currency
    dropdowns to define your currency preferences.
  5. Click
    Save & close
    .
