Setting Up Pre-configured Task Code Alerts

Select Pre-Configured Task Code Alerts for Budgets

  1. Select
    Matters
    >
     Matter list
     in the left navigation.
  2. Select the hyperlinked name of the matter you want to work with.
  3. Click
    Edit options
     on the toolbar menu.
  4. In the
    Task and Expense Code - Task Code Alerts and Invoice Requirements
     section, check the checkbox for the pre-configured task code alerts you want to apply.
  5. On the toolbar, select
    Save & close
    .
  6. Select the
    Budget
     or
    Budget/Fees
     tab for the matter.
  7. In the
    Task Code Alerts
     collapsible section, use the dropdown list to select the firm.
  8. Click the pre-configured task code alert that you want to apply to the budget.
Edit Current Alerts
  1. Select
    Matters
    >
     Matter list
     in the left navigation.
  2. Click the matter for which you want to add a pre-configured task code alert.
  3. Click
    Budgets
    .
  4. In the
    Task Code Alerts
     section, click the down arrow and select the firm.
  5. On the toolbar, select the three small dots icon on the toolbar, then select
    Edit current alerts
    .
  6. Complete the fields as necessary.
To lock or unlock task code alerts
The Tracker Coordinator, company system administrator, or company matter administrator can lock or unlock the task code alerts, just as you can lock or unlock the budget. When task code alerts are locked, the law firm administrator cannot change the spending limits.
  1. Select
    Matters
    >
     Matter list
     in the left navigation.
  2. Open the relevant matter.
  3. Click
    Budget
     then, if necessary, collapse the
    Budgeting
     section.
  4. Under the
    Task Code Alerts
     section, in the row for the relevant law firm, click
    View
    .
  5. Do one of the following:
    • From the three small dots on the toolbar, click
      Lock task code alerts
      . (You can lock the task code alerts before the law firm acknowledges them.)
    • From the three small dots icon on the toolbar, click
      Unlock task code alerts
      .
