Access Security

The form for creating or editing a status report, note, date/event, or document always includes the
Access Security
field. This field lets you specify which users can access the status report, note, date/event or document that is being saved.
  1. Open the matter that will contain the document.
  2. Click
    Add
    .
  3. On the New Documents panel, scroll to the
    Access Security
    section and select an option. The following access security selections are available to firm users when the law firm is the lead firm:
    • Company and Submitting Firm Participants:
      Only company users and the law firm's users can access.
    • All Matter Participants:
      All users in the matter have access.
When the law firm is a secondary law firm, the same selections are available. However, if the lead firm has rights to view the secondary firm's data (a right controlled by the company) then the
Company and Submitting Firm Participants
selection also grants access to the lead firm.
