Troubleshoot Timekeeper Rate Sheet Errors

After you upload a rate sheet file to Tracker but before you submit it to your client company, Tracker analyzes your information and flags any errors. The list of errors includes the line number in the rate sheet file and the type of error. Typical errors include:
  • Incorrect file type-For example, you selected
    CSV (comma separated value)
for the file type but you uploaded a tab-delimited text file.
  • Incorrect or missing header-All of the required header labels must be included in your file and they must be an exact match of the labels listed in the specifications. The order of the labels is not important.
  • Missing information-Information corresponding to the header labels must be provided for every timekeeper and it must be provided in the same order as the header labels. The only exception is for the STATE _OR_PROVINCE field. This field can be empty if the timekeeper's country is not USA.
  • Incorrect information-Information for each timekeeper must match the specifications. For example, Tracker flags an incorrect code or an exceeded character limit.
