Azure Virtual Desktop migration

Steps to take now before the migration

Prior to your migration, everyone needs to review the following information and take applicable actions.

Back up Microsoft Outlook settings

If you access Microsoft Office through Virtual Client Office, your Microsoft Outlook user profile will be reset during the migration process. Before the migration, back up your Microsoft Outlook settings:
  1. Sign in to
    NetClient CS
    .
  2. Open
    Microsoft Outlook 2021
     through
    Virtual Client Office
    .
  3. Go to
    File
    , then
    Account Settings
    .
  4. Double-click your email account.
  5. Take a screenshot of (or photo or copy) your
    POP and IMAP Account Settings
     and save for use post-migration. Repeat the same steps for every Microsoft Outlook user profile (email address) you have set up in
    Virtual Client Office
    .

Optional: Install the AVD package early

If you want to get started now, you can download the Azure Virtual Desktop client and other tools prior to your migration date.
Included is the following:
  • Azure Remote Desktop enables launching of
    Virtual Client Office
     applications.
  • TerminalWorks TSPrint improves print performance.
  • TerminalWorks TSScan enables scanning in
    Virtual Client Office
    . It is needed if you use the scanning features within applications such as
    Client
    FileCabinet CS.
