About Planner CS export

Thomson Reuters provides a handy tool for exporting Form 1040 information to the Planner CS 1040 application. This tool creates a text file that you can easily open with Planner CS.
While we strive to make sure the export is accurate, there are times when our data categorization and storage don't perfectly match how Planner CS presents data. When this happens, we have to leave out certain data elements from the export.
Due to these fundamental differences between our compliance data and Planner CS's planning data requirements, our export to the Planner CS file isn't all-inclusive. The charts below show the specific data that Thomson Reuters exports to the Planner CS file.

Updates

We might occasionally update, add, or delete data exported to the Planner CS 1040 application. When we do, we'll roll out these changes with the regular 1040 application updates, and we'll also update this help system to keep you in the loop.

Limitations

1040 K-1
Collectibles (28%) have the potential of doubling up. Please review the input. The greater the number of K-1 activities, the greater the difference between GoSystem Tax and Planner CS. This generally has had to do with activities that are retired, unlocking of losses, and tracking of basis, at-risk, and passive losses differently.
1041 K-1
1041 K-1s are not supported.
