New Jurisdiction API
The API is designed to retrieve detailed information about tax returns for 1120 and 1065. It's called by using year, return ID, and firm. The API is functional regardless of whether the locator is open or closed.
Key information provided by this API:
  • Tax Type
    : Specifies whether the return is for tax type 1120 or 1065.
  • Active Jurisdictions
    : Lists the federal and state jurisdictions in the return.
  • Return Type
    : Indicates whether the filing is an extension, regular, or other return type.
  • E-file Request Type
    : Details the request types such as REG, REG2, REG3, EXT, EXT2, EXT3, EXT4, EST, EST2, EST3
  • Filing Method
    : Clarifies whether jurisdictions are being filed as paper or e-file.
