Add a mapping

For each mapping, you can configure fields in these ways:
  • Select which fields get included and in what order
  • Set default values to apply if the field's blank
  • Set values to use for testing your mapping
  1. Select
    Company
    and then select the company this mapping's for.
  2. Select the service type, service name, and service operation.
  3. Enter a name for the mapping.
  4. Select either
    INPUT
    or
    OUTPUT
    .
  5. Select the input or output field you want included.
  6. Go to Source Position and:
    1. On the INPUT tab, enter the position of the input field in the data source.
    2. On the OUTPUT tab, enter the position of the output field in the output file. This number must be unique.
  7. Go to
    Default Value
    and enter text in the
    Default Value
    field for any fields where you want a default value.
  8. Go to
    Test Value
    and enter text in each
    Test Value
    field where you want a value for passing with a test. These values are also included in the file generated when you export a mapping.
  9. Go to
    Settings
    and enter use credentials and if needed, edit the default file properties for this mapping.
  10. And lastly, save the mapping by using
    Save
    or
    Save and generate properties
    . This 2nd option saves a copy of the mapping file and the test data to both the database and your local machine.
