Set up a dedicated BTP subaccount

Setting up a dedicated BTP subaccount provided by Thomson Reuters (TR) involves configuring destinations and cloud connectors to access your backend SAP systems.
  1. Receive Subaccount Information from Thomson Reuters
    1. Subaccount ID:
      A unique identifier for your subaccount.
    2. Region:
      The region where your BTP subaccount resides.
    3. Login Credentials:
      Email and password to access the dedicated sub-account created by Thomson Reuters BTP instance.
    4. Access SAP BTP Cockpit.
    5. Login to BTP Cockpit.
    6. Use the provided credentials to log in to the SAP BTP Cockpit.
  2. Configure the Cloud Connector.
  3. Set up destinations in BTP Cockpit
  4. In the BTP Cockpit, go to your subaccount.
  5. Select the Destinations tab.
  6. Select New Destinations.
  7. Enter destination details.
    1. Name:
      A unique name for the destination.
    2. Type:
      Choose HTTP or HTTPS based on your backend system.
    3. URL:
      The URL of your backend SAP system.
    4. Proxy Type:
      Select On-premise if you're using the Cloud Connector..
    5. Authentication:
      Select the authentication method (e.g., Basic Authentication, OAuth2).
    6. Additional Properties:
      Add any additional properties required for your specific setup.
    7. Save the Destination:
      Save
      to save your destination.
  8. Configure access control in Cloud Connector
  9. In Cloud Connector, select
    Access Control
    .
  10. Select the
    +
    (plus) button.
  11. Select
    Abap System
    .
  12. Select either
    HTTP
    or
    HTTPS
    depending on your requirements and setup.
  13. Enter the hostname of your SAP backend system.
  14. Enter the port number used by your SAP backend system.
  15. Map the internal host name and port.
  16. Save the configuration.
  17. Select the + (plus) button to add a new resource
  18. Enter
    /sap/opu/odata/sap/
    or the specific required endpoint.
  19. Save the configuration.
