2.2.5.0 Global Tax for SAP Ariba Solutions

The ONESOURCE Global Tax for SAP Ariba Solutions 2.2.5.0 is an enhancement release on OSGTA 2.2.4.9 to align the vendor-charged tax enablement feature on the Integration interface to companies enabled for VCT configuration on the tax engine. It also enhances the custom field configuration feature on the SAP Ariba integration interface.

SAP Ariba Common screen: Determination User Element ID Required Error For ‘Is Seller Tax Registration Number
Issue:
 In OSGTA version 2.2.4.9, the Integration screen incorrectly prompts you to enter a Determination User Element ID when configuring custom fields with "Is Seller Tax Registration Number" selected. This prompt should only appear when "Is Seller Tax Registration Number" is set to "False." Currently, the system generates an error message, "Determination User ID is required," if this information is not provided, preventing buyers from completing the configuration.
Solution:
 To resolve this, debug the system to remove the unnecessary restriction and error message. Ensure that users are only prompted for the Determination User Element ID when "Is Seller Tax Registration Number" is "False." This solution will streamline the configuration process by requiring only the necessary information.
Alignment of OIDTC Integration flag to ONESOURCE Tax engine VCT enablement feature
Issue:
 To configure OSGTA 2.2.4.9 for VCTV, you'll need enable the VCTV feature in the Tax Engine and set the VCTV flag in the Integration screen. These configurations allow for the use of either the Tax Engine's VCTV logic or Ariba's native VCT feature for invoice transactions. However, the VCTV integration currently applies to all tax jurisdictions, regardless of its enablement status in the Tax Engine. Consequently, the system generates incorrect tax calculation responses for external companies not enabled for VCTV in the Tax Engine when the VCT flag in the integration is set to "yes."
Solution:
 We’ll enhance the OSGTA 2.2.4.9 solution to align the VCT configuration on the Common UI platform with the VCTV enablement in the Tax Engine. This will ensure accurate system responses for all transactions. The solution will allow you to use both Ariba's VCT logic and the VCTV Tax Engine feature concurrently within the same realm, based on system configurations.
