Enhancements

ONESOURCE Content Page Shows Active Product Category Status (1299969)
A new column, “Active”, is now visible on the ONESOURCE Content page. This column identifies the status of each product category in standard tax content.
Company Option: Group by Tax Rate Document Rounding (1468674, 1519650, 1529940)
A new Company Admin Option, Enable Group by Tax Rate Document Rounding is now available. When set to Yes, Determination will group line tax amounts at the invoice level by tax rate, with the goal not to exceed standard deviation of the 0.01 Euros threshold. This function is required for e-invoicing and in other jurisdictions where this type of tax rate grouping is necessary, such as in Japan.
TransEditor Action and Condition Reordering (1452456)
TransEditors has been enhanced with a Manual Reorder Button, letting customers efficiently reorder Actions and Conditions by selecting new locations or entering numeric positions, with a tooltip for guidance. Existing functionalities like Edit, Copy, and Delete remain unchanged.
Model Scenarios: Input XML Filters (1375664)
Model Scenarios now let you view multiple XML inputs within Model Scenarios, offering visibility into each stage of the tax calculation process. This includes the raw Input XML, Filtered XML with TransEditors applied but without Allocations, Allocated XML that includes both Allocations and TransEditors, and Output XML for consistency across the XML calculation process.
Model Scenarios: Document and Line Addresses Empty by Default (1385968)
When creating a new Model Scenario, if using the Geo Address type, all address fields are empty in Document Addresses and Line Addresses. Upon browsing to these pages, the Geo Address fields will appear unavailable. Once a Country is selected, the associated address fields will become enabled. This enhancement is being introduced to make it more efficient to enter address information.
Model Scenarios: Export One or More Scenarios (1179263)
You can now export one or more scenarios from the Model Scenarios list page. Checking the checkbox next to each scenario you choose to export, then selecting the Export button preceding the grid, enables the XML of one or more scenarios to be directly exported to a ZIP file for enhanced portability of your scenarios.
Authority Rates and Fees: Negative Tax Rates Handling (18636900)
The feature enhancement lets you enter negative tax rates for Graduated and Tiered rate types, aligning them with the existing capability of the Basic rate type. You can enter up to 15 numeric characters in the tax rate field and will receive an alert if the field is left empty.
User Experience and Accessibility Update (1464659)
You will now enjoy a consistent look and feel across various product features, maintaining the same functionality with improved usability. All features, including Certificate Manager and related tools, adhere to WCAG 2.0 Accessibility guidelines.
Brazil: TransEditor Element Added to Override Company Options (1394814)
The new TransEditor filter Element INVOICE.BR_PIS_COFINS_COMPANY_OPTION lets you override Brazil-specific tax options set in the Company Admin Options, specifically for Brazil – Alternative Taxable Basis and Brazil – PIS and COFINS Taxable Basis. This new element can be configured in a TransEditor Action using the Constants BRAZIL_ALTERNATIVE_TAXABLE_BASIS or BRAZIL_PIS_AND_COFINS_TAXABLE_BASIS.
Brazil: Enhanced Formula for Standard Brazil Calculation (1426959)
The formula for Standard calculations in Brazil is enhanced for transactions that exclude ICMS from the PIS and COFINS taxable basis when using the Company Admin Option: Brazil - PIS and COFINS Taxable Basis, or when using a TransEditor override for this Company Option. The enhancement adjusts the Taxable Basis and Tax Amount calculation for Interstate and Intrastate transactions when the Company Role is Seller or Buyer. Inclusive calculations for Brazil are not affected by this change.
Oil and Gas (O&G): Province Zone Level Available for Operating Licenses (1327480)
On the Operating Licenses page, when creating or editing an Operating License, when using the Zone level name filter, you can now select the province zone level which lets you filter operating licenses for the Provincial level.
Oil and Gas: Exemption override using tax types at company level (1501231)
We previously identified an issue with the exemption override setup available at the company level, which resulted in incorrect exemption results when a company had configured this setup to override the exemption for a given tax type. This issue has now been resolved in this release.
Operating License Logic Now Supports Destination Seller Ship to Zone (1418554)
Determination now performs a comparison using the Operating License Tax Mapping (OLTM) associated with the Ship From (Origin) authority for Buyer AND Seller licenses, and the Ship To (Destination) authority for the Seller license. This enhancement increases efficiency when managing configurations for Destination Oil and Gas transactions – eliminating the need for redundant record duplication for Ship-from and Ship-To locations.
Model Scenarios: Excise Already Paid Field (1385968)
A new Model Scenarios field, Excise Already Paid, is for Motor Fuel Excise taxes, and this function will be enabled in a future release of Determination. The Excise Already Paid field will apply only to Oil and Gas transactions in the EU and may expand to other countries in the future. Once enabled in a future release, if set to Yes, this field will identify excise tax already paid, and for the applicable authorities, depending on the tax jurisdiction, may return a zero-rated tax result. If the value is set to None or No, excise tax will be determined at the applicable imposition tax rate.

Fixes

Unit of Measure: Custom Unit of Measure (UOM) (1516259)
The custom unit of measure is displayed and applied accurately within model scenarios. Inheritance configured at the company level is also working as expected.
Tax Jurisdictions: End Date Not Functioning (1492779)
When creating or editing an authority in the Tax Jurisdictions is now able to handle larger volumes of data changes when using fields like Start Date and End Date. You can now apply End Dates to multiple authorities at once, enabling a more efficient experience.
Transeditors: Visibility of 25 or More Transeditors (1262714)
The user interface for TransEditors has been improved to accurately display the specific TransEditor being worked on, even when there are more than 25 transeditors spanning multiple pages. Previously, editing and saving a TransEditor in such cases would result in displaying a different TransEditor than intended.
Authority Rates and Fees: Graduated Tier Rates Display Correctly (1363929)
Graduated Tier rates have been enhanced to show the correct rate precision in the Value column on each rate tier. Previously, you may have observed that some tiered rate values didn’t show the correct rate precision values in the user interface, even though the rates were correct in Determination.
Document Rounding: Error for Serbia (1462191)
Document Rounding once again lets you enable or modify for the country of Serbia. Previously, when you attempted to enable or modify the document rounding for the country of Serbia, Determination displayed an error.
O&G: Custom Operating License Type Mapping for Destination Seller (1532290)
For Oil and Gas specific configurations, when creating a custom operating license type mapping (OLTM) you can now successfully save the record when you create a Destination Seller License Type that has the same Buyer, Seller Operating License Types, JE Mapping, Start Date, and End Date. Previously, Determination displayed an error when attempting to save an OLTM record for Destination Seller License Type when the Buyer, Seller Operating License Types, JE Mapping, Start Date, and End Date were the same.
Delivery Terms: Ex Works Europe (EXW) (1322635)
When using the Delivery Term Ex Works Europe (EXW) when the Ship From is an EU member state and the Ship To is a non-EU location, Determination now returns the Tax Type of Standard VAT for the Ship From location. Previously, Determination returned an Export result for the Ship From location.
VAT Group: Ex Works (EXW) (1323045)
When using the Delivery Term Ex Works (EXW) and a VAT Group, Determination recognizes a valid VAT Group and applies it to the appropriate transaction. Previously, Determination didn’t recognize a valid VAT Group when using EXW, applied to a transaction.
Standard Mapping: Fix for Commodity Code Validation (1422504)
The system now correctly prioritizes the commodity code when an invalid date is present. This update ensures accurate validation by aligning product codes with valid dates, preventing incorrect calculation for inactive commodity code.
Domestic U.K. Sale Now Returns Inter-Community (IC) Tax Type (1487783)
When using the same Seller Registration and Buyer Registration for a domestic sale of goods in the United Kingdom, Determination now returns an Inter-Community Tax Type result. Previously for domestic sale of goods in the United Kingdom when the Seller Registration and Buyer Registration were the same, Determination returned a Not Liable Tax Type result.
O&G: Custom Operating License Type Mapping (OLTM): Canada Country Level Authorities Now Visible (1539987)
When adding a Custom Operating License Type Mapping (OLTM) to a country level standard authority, when you Search for a custom Operating License Type for a Seller or Buyer, country level operating license types now appear and can be selected. Previously, when selecting a custom Operating License Type for a Seller or Buyer, country level operating license types were not visible.
O&G: Enhancement to Support Operation Licenses for Authority Type ‘EXC’ and ‘CT' (1535831)
This release addresses the capability for customers to create new OLTM entries for Excise and Carbon Tax authorities. Customers will be guided through the process with prompts to ensure all necessary details are captured.
Minnesota Retail Delivery Fee Applies When Invoice Total Gross Amount Exceeds $100 (1462023)
The determination process has been improved to apply the Minnesota retail delivery fee to transactions when the total gross number of eligible line items exceeds $100, using the Invoice Amount by Rule Tier Amount type. This change ensures the fee is applied based on the combined total of line items rather than individual items.
Conditional Mapping: Data Type Varieties Successfully Process (1300040)
Conditional Mapping now correctly recognizes and processes conditions with leading zeros in value comparisons, regardless of data type. Previously, such conditions caused errors during tax calculation due to unsuccessful data type comparisons.
Audit Reversal Transaction Correctly Identifies Fiscal Date (1530484)
Audit reversal transactions now correctly assign the Fiscal Date when only the dates on an existing invoice are changed. Previously, changing an invoice date from 1 month to another incorrectly affected the Fiscal Date assignment on reversal transactions (IS_REVERSED).

Known Issues

Enhanced Numeric Evaluation in Relational Operations in Mapping Functionality (1540708)
Enhancement to ensure accurate evaluations of numeric values by relational operators, addressing previous type-casting issues. Customers should review configurations and test Conditional and ERP Mappings, as the updated logic may affect results.
