New features

Company Admin Option ‘Fetching rules with Product Category’ is turned on as a default (1060456)
The Company Admin Option ‘
Fetching rules with Product Category
’ will be enabled by default. This is to ensure better performance of the tax engine by optimizing the rules query such that only the applicable rules for the Product are queried, rather than querying all rules.
Going forward, if this option is not selected, it will operate as enabled. This will not impact any companies where this option is selected as N.
This option can be found as below:

Document Rounding for multiple authorities in tax result (1042860)
When multiple tax authorities are triggered in the tax results, for instance Non-Liable tax block for Country A and a taxable result for Country B, the tax engine has been enhanced to consider the Document Rounding configuration of the authority that has a non-zero tax amount. In this case, it will consider the Document Rounding Configuration of Country B, not Country A.
BRAZIL - PIS-ST AND COFINS-ST TO ZFM/ALC - COMPANY ALTERNATE AND PIS/COFINS (983958, 983951, 993826, 993824)
This Feature addresses the calculation of the authority ‘
Brazil PIS-ST and Brazil COFINS-ST
’ in the scenarios with Business Supply=Yes and Company Option set ‘Brazil Alternative Taxable Basis’ or ‘Brazil - PIS and COFINS Taxable Basis’.
This logic provides the ICMS “Desonerado” value deducted from the PIS-ST and COFINS-ST taxable basis, and the PIS-ST and COFINS-ST values is added to the taxable basis for ICMS-ST operations. For scenarios in which IPI is calculated, this value is considered in the BRAZIL PIS-ST and BRAZIL COFINS-ST taxable basis. Furthermore, for scenarios with ICMS-ST, once BRAZIL PIS-ST and BRAZIL COFINS-ST authorities are triggered and display the tax amount, that one must be integrated on the ICMS-ST Taxable basis.
This logic provides scenarios with Desonerado, as well as without Desonerado.
The Legislation that supports this Feature is: Law 11.196/05, Law 87/96, and Normative Instruction 2.121/22 (in-house legislation)

Fixes

Sales Tax holiday Exemptions were not applied correctly (1085327)
An issue was identified where the exempt amount was not applied for rate tier exemptions such as Sales Tax Holiday exemptions. Instead, it was considered as non-exempt with a 100% taxable basis and a 0% tax rate was applied. These types of exemptions are typically handled by special tiered rates, with the lowest rate tier being exempt. The issue is fixed now, and the exempt amount is being reflected accurately.
Low Value Goods (LVG) logic was not triggered for New Zealand (1026661)
An issue was identified where the Low Value Goods (LVG) threshold was not evaluated for New Zealand Dollars or for any transactions with New Zealand as the Ship To authority. This issue has been fixed now and the LVG threshold is being applied correctly to New Zealand authorities and the New Zealand Dollar.
Invoices were not stored when multiple lines were passed with duplicate line numbers (1056751)
An issue was identified where ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination returned an unknown error when multiple lines in an invoice were passed with the same line number. This caused an issue because while the logs were not showing the error, the invoices were not audited and not available in Reporting. This issue has been resolved now and the system will return an error related to duplicate lines.
An unsupported parameter, ‘Freight On Board’ was being considered in XMLInvoice endpoint (1036553)
An issue was identified where if an invoice contained ‘
Delivery Terms
’ and ‘
Freight on Board
’, the ‘Freight on Board’ was being utilized instead of the ‘Delivery Terms’, leading to inaccurate tax results. ‘Freight on Board’ is a parameter that is no longer supported by Content. This issue has been resolved for XMLInvoice so that the tax engine now disregards ‘Freight on Board’ if it is present in the request or input transaction.
NO ZONE TREE MATCH error when the State provided in one of the address elements was in lowercase (e.g. texas) (1062164)
An issue was identified where ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination returned a ‘
NO ZONE TREE MATCH
’ error when the Order Acceptance State was in lowercase (e.g., texas instead of Texas). This would result in an error from the engine such that the Order Acceptance City could not be found under the State. This issue has now been resolved, and the system converts the address information from the request to uppercase before searching for the zone match.
