Supported Operating Systems
Operating systems that are supported by the application server and database manufacturers that Thomson Reuters supports can be used with Determination. For example, if you use Tomcat 7.x and Oracle 19c database, you can choose an operating system that is supported by both manufacturers to use with Determination.
Supported Databases
Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Microsoft SQL Server 2016 Microsoft SQL Server 2019 Oracle RDBMS 11g (11.2.x) Oracle RDBMS 19c (19.6) NOTE: We do not support conversions of existing database schemas from one vendor to another, for example, Oracle to DB2. We do not test or develop migration tools for database conversions.
Supported Application Servers
Apache Tomcat 8.5.x Apache Tomcat 9.0.x IBM WebSphere 8.5.5.1 IBM WebSphere 8.5.5.14 IBM WebSphere 9.0.5 JBoss 6.4 Enterprise Edition JBoss 7.1 Enterprise Edition JBoss 7.3 Enterprise Edition JBoss 7.4 Enterprise Edition

Supported Browsers
Google Chrome 75+ Microsoft Internet Explorer 11.0.x Mozilla Firefox 68+
NOTE: Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox are supported for Determination, not for downloads from the Customer Center.
NOTE: We expect, but cannot guarantee, that subsequent minor guides of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox will remain compatible with Determination.
Hardware Requirements
This section shows the minimum hardware requirements. You can work with our Consulting department or your implementation partner to develop recommendations for your specific deployment and transaction processing requirements.
NOTE: Due to the adoption of the Java Persistence Framework in Determination 5.6.0.0 as described in the Product guides, adding memory to the middle tier now has a much greater impact to performance than in prior versions of Determination, as Determination can now consume that memory much more efficiently.
Client Tier
Determination imposes no minimum requirements for the client tier.
Application Tier
RAM: 1GB CPU: No minimum requirement Disk Space: 500MB
Database Tier
RAM: 512MB CPU: No minimum requirement Disk Space: 2GB
Vendor Specific Notes
DB2/WebSphere
When processing large invoices (50,000 lines or greater), increase the JVM memory to at least 2GB, and preferably higher, as supported by your hardware and operating system.
SQL Server
If you are using SQL Server with Determination, you need the driver mssqljdbc6.4.0.jre8.jar (Java 1.8) from Microsoft SQL Server JDBC Driver 6.4. Or else you need the driver mssql-jdbc-7.0.0.jre10.jar (Java 1.10) from Microsoft SQL Server JDBC Driver 7.0. If you do not have the driver, see the topic Downloading the Microsoft JDBC Driver for SQL Server in the Determination Installation Guide. Customers hosted by Thomson Reuters can upgrade to a new version by submitting a support ticket requesting an upgrade.
We encourage you to upgrade to the latest version. Older versions will be out of support if they have reached the Product Support Lifecycle.
