About scheduling reports

Take these items into consideration when scheduling reports.
  • Each tenant organization gets limited to 5 scheduled report per week or 25 scheduled reports per month. After a schedule's status changes to expired, you're advised to create a new schedule and delete the expired one. This'll help to ensure you don't exceed the limit for your organization.
  • The time zones for schedules are user time zones, but execution on the server side's in UTC time. For example, if a user's in the Eastern time zone, the schedule's set up in the Eastern time zone, but in the application back-end, the time's converted to UTC time.
  • Scheduled reports run in the background; there's no visual indication while a scheduled report's running. When this process completes, it's available in

    .
  • There's a known issue of the status showing as expired for scheduled reports at the time of executing the report schedule. Once the scheduled report completes, the next run date's available according to your schedule.
  • Since schedules are based on existing reports, the report underlying the schedule can't be changed unless the schedule's also changed.
  • A schedule's end date can be extended only if the schedule status hasn't changed to expired.

Scheduled reports and permissions

  • The Reporting Admin User role can view all users who've scheduled a report. They can also view a schedule's created by detail but can't edit it.
  • Only the user who created a scheduled report can edit or delete the schedule.
  • After a schedule's created, only the frequency can be adjusted, and it can only be adjusted by the user that created the schedule. If other changes are needed, the original schedule must be deleted and a new schedule created.
