VAT Document Details report

Purpose

This report summarizes document data for all countries with VAT (value added tax) transactions by document, document line, and tax line. This report assists you in understanding what was taxed and why by allowing focused analysis by tax amount.
For transactions taxed outside the U.S. (including Canada), this report gives document-by-document reconciliation between Determination and your ERP (enterprise resource planning). It provides all the underlying detail records that make up data in the summary reports. You can use detail reports in audit defenses or in the reconciliation process. You can also use detail reports to bring data into other business systems or into Excel for further data manipulation and summarization as required by your business needs.
When transactions are a mix of both U.S. and non-U.S. taxable countries, all the results can't appear in the report, because the U.S. transaction tax lines aren't included. For multiple ERP systems (host systems and calling systems), the Calling System Number and Host System columns are indicators of the source system where the document originated.
The document gross amount and tax amount filters are designed specifically for documents that haven't been recalculated or reversed. Therefore, if you're filtering on amounts that have been recalculated, you will only see documents with a positive gross amount. This affects document totals being summarized, since the negative gross amount won't be included in the summation.
