Content Extract account

Before using Content Extract, you'll need to obtain the necessary credentials for configuration and API access.
Content Extract requires 2 sets of credentials: one to configure the extract definition and another to access the Content Extract API Service.
Content Extract is only available in the ONESOURCE Shared Cloud environment.

Request credentials

To request credentials, contact a member of the Thomson Reuters Professional Services team and give the following information:
  • Environment:
The ONESOURCE Shared Cloud environment where you would like access. Currently, your options are UAT or PROD.
  • Company:
This is the company that you want to generate extracts for. Note that the company must already be configured in the desired environment before making your request. Give the company name or the external ID.
  • UI Username:
This is the username that you’ll use to configure the extract definition. If you already have an account in the ONESOURCE Shared Cloud environment, we recommend that you use it for this purpose.
  • Content Extract Service Username:
This username is used exclusively for the Content Extract Service and won’t be given access to the user interface. It must begin with the ^ character which indicates that it is an account used to access back-end services. If you don’t know (or care) what the username is, then request that a new one be created for you.
  • Roles:
As part of your request, ask that your UI Account be given the role of “Content Extract User” for the company provided and your Content Extract Service Account be given the role of “Content Extract Service” for the company provided.

Validate your credentials

Once your credentials have been created, be sure to validate that they work as expected.
