VAT validator

Use the VAT Validator to validate VAT registration numbers

To use the VAT Validator to validate the VAT registration numbers of your suppliers and customers:
  1. Go to
    Tools
    ,
    Tax Tools
    , and then
    VAT Registration Number Validation
    .
    1. If a VAT registration file hasn't been uploaded, a message shows indicating that no registration validation tasks have been created.
    2. If at least 1 VAT registration file was uploaded, you'll see files that were previously uploaded.
  2. Select
    Upload VAT Registration File
    .
  3. Browse to the file and then select
    Upload
    .
  4. As the data in the VAT registration file gets validated, the status changes:
    1. Open
       - Status after all the VAT registration numbers get uploaded to the database.
    2. Process
       - Status after the VAT registration numbers get validated against the government entity data.
    3. Failed
       - Status if an error occurs at any point during the upload or validation process.
    4. Complete
       - Status after the validation process successfully completes.
