Forms revisions

State notes

All changes noted below were incorporated into the applicable returns and accompanying schedules for that state or locale. Listed changes are effective June 1, 2025, unless noted otherwise.
Interest rate changes
  • Michigan
    : from 9.470% to 8.660%
  • Alabama locals
    :
    • Abbeville changed administration from STACS to ADOR.
    • Clanton changed administration from RDS/Avenu to ADOR.
    • Hokes Bluff changed administration from STACS to ADOR.
    • Leighton changed administration from STACS to ADOR.
    • STACS, Sales Tax Auditing & Collection Services, is in the process of closing down their operations. Last release, Sheffield and Glencoe changed administration to ADOR, and this month Abbeville, Hokes Bluff, and Leighton did the same. This trend will continue until all STACS administrated local jurisdictions will no longer use the STACS returns.
  • Alaska locals
    : Seasonal Grocery Tax had been added for the following:
    • Kenai Peninsula Borough seasonal grocery tax rate changed from 3.000% to 3.000%.
    • The city of Homer seasonal grocery tax rate changed from 4.850% to 4.850%.
  • Idaho locals
    : We have updated the local sales tax return forms of these local cities
    • The city of Lava Hot Springs

Tax rate changes

All tax rate changes noted below were incorporated into the application. Listed changes are effective June 1, 2025, unless noted otherwise.
Alabama locals
:
  • Allgood decreased Auto rates from 3.000% to 0.500%, and levied an auto withdrawal fee of $112.00.
  • Carbon Hill increased its general sales and use rate from 3.000% to 4.000%
  • Carbon Hill Police Jurisdiction increased its general sales and use rate from 1.500% to 2.000%
Florida locals
: Effective July 1st, 2025, Hillsborough County has removed the suspension of its indigent care and local government infrastructure surtaxes. This will increase their tax rate to 1.5%
South Carolina locals
: The county of Clarendon has expired its 1% School option tax on June 30th,2025
Texas
: The following special purpose district imposed a sale and use tax rate:
  • Williamson County Emergency Services District No. 8-A (5246665) imposes the rate of 1.750%.

OSU can provide with checkbox functionality to filter-out Unreported Tax.
The Tax-Return-Reconciliation Screen is updated to "Show Unreported Entries Only" Checkbox
UI enhancements
The Tax-Return-Reconciliation Screen is updated to "Show Unreported Entries Only" Checkbox. When checked, the screen should display only the data entries where unreported Tax is applicable (Unreported tax greater than zero).
Key Benefits: User can see the unreported entries with a warning sign and decide to take necessary action

Closed issues

Colorado
: County discount can be overridden to rate of zero in TAS Organizer.
Colorado locals
: Woodland Park sales tax rate changed to 3% from 4.09% from April, 2025.
Louisiana locals
: Lafourche Parish single return will now correctly print lines 15a-c for the Golden Meadow column.
Rhode Island
: The RI-STR tax due report will now include use tax amounts in the Total Tax and Net Tax Due columns.
Tennessee
: The Schedule I Local Option Transit Surcharge will now include consumer use taxable amounts in State Net Taxable Total (Line 1).
Washington
: Small Business B&O Tax Credit Table Worksheet updated/fixed
CO- Store 39853 is not importing despite being an active location (Ticket#19463259)
: User was unable to import data into OSU for a location code where location details were updated. Updating ParentAuthId to Colorado has fixed the issue. A new import will resolve it for the user.
