Change saved invoices

  • You can access an invoice from multiple places in Practice CS:
    • The Prior Invoices portlet.
    • The Review tab of the Billing screen.
    • The Invoice Journal report.
    From there, you can go to Detail Billing to edit or delete an invoice.
  • However, there are times when you can't change or delete an invoice. Reasons include:
    • The invoice has receipts applied to it.
    • The invoice has an adjustment entry applied to it.
    • The invoice includes a service charge.

  • Whenever you can't edit or delete an invoice, a window opens to give an explanation of the reason.
    • If you select multiple invoices and choose
      Edit Selected
      or
      Delete Selected
      , the window will appear only if there's one or more invoices that can't be edited or deleted. In that case, each of the invoices that can't be edited or deleted will be listed with an explanation.
