Reset Practice CS passwords

You and your staff can change the password for signing in to the application.

Updated password

As with any secured application, its a good idea for all staff members to periodically change their Practice CS password.
  1. Open Practice CS.
  2. On the Practice CS sign in screen, select
    Change Password
    .
  3. In the Change Password window, enter your old password, and then enter and confirm your new password.
  4. Select
    OK
    to return to the sign in screen, and then select
    OK
    to continue.

Lost or forgotten password

When staff members lose or forget their Practice CS sign-in password, the firm administrator (or a staff member with rights to the Security tab of the Staff setup screen) can reset the password.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    Staff
    .
  2. On the Staff screen, select the
    Security
    tab.
  3. Highlight the staff ID and select
    Edit
    .
  4. Confirm that the staff person is a member of at least 1 security group. If they are not, mark a group to add them to it.
  5. Select
    Reset Password
    .
  6. Select
    Yes
    to confirm.
  7. Select
    Enter
    .
The next time the staff member opens the application, they can enter their staff ID as usual and leave the Password field blank in the sign-in screen. When they select
OK
, the application displays the Change Password window, where the staff member can enter and confirm the new password.
