Dashboard layout overview

You can save the configuration of Practice CS dashboard portlets in a layout. You can use layouts to create standard dashboard options for the members of your firm, to set up default dashboards for new staff, or as a way to restore your dashboard after an accidental or unwanted change.
To create a layout, first arrange the dashboard in the configuration you want to save.

Save layout

Once the dashboard is configured, right-click and choose
Save Layout As
. Enter a name for the layout in the
Layout
field. You can also choose an existing layout from the dropdown menu. If you choose an existing layout, you'll replace the saved layout with the current configuration of your dashboard and you'll be asked to verify whether you want to replace it.

Select layout

To select a layout for use on your dashboard, right-click and choose
Select Layout
. You can also use the Select Layout link. Use the dropdown menu to choose the layout and select
OK
.

Set default layout

To set a default layout for new staff, choose Setup, then Firm and select the
Preferences
tab. In the Staff setup options, use the dropdown menu next to each dashboard field to choose a saved layout.

Delete layout

To delete a layout from your list of saved layouts, right-click any dashboard and choose
Delete Layout
. Choose the layout you want to delete from the dropdown menu and select
OK
. You'll be asked to confirm the layout to delete.
