Enter comments during data entry

Use the Comment window to enter an optional comment for a line item within a data grid. This includes Time & Expense Entry or Receipt & Adjustment Entry. You can include these comments on invoices and reports.
You can also insert blocks of standard text into a comment, insert variable dates, and check your spelling.
  1. To open the Comment window, select
    comment
    next to a Comment box. Alternately, you can begin typing a comment in the box. When the entry becomes too long for the box, the Comment window opens automatically so you can continue typing.
  2. Enter text in the free text box as needed.
    1. To insert a block of standard text, select next to
      Standard text
      and make a selection from the list.
    2. To insert a variable date (such as Period End Date or Invoice Date) into the comment, select
      Insert Variable Date
      You can also select the date format (for example, mm/dd/yyyy or yyyy).
    3. To check the spelling of the comment text, select
      Check Spelling
      .
  3. Select
    OK
    to save your comments and return to the entry grid.
