Capture data from organizer pages

1040SCAN PRO and 1040SCANverify users have the option of setting the software to capture either all or none of the data on organizer pages.
We recommend you select
None
. Handwriting on organizer pages can be difficult for OCR to recognize and may require numerous corrections in the verification step. Additionally, since the majority of the data on organizer pages is supported by the source documents, the data is duplicate. For these two main reasons, we think selecting the
None
option will save you some time. When you select
None
, you also have the option to
Show all organizer pages(s) in the Review Wizard
. By default, that check box is clear and we recommend you leave it that way. If you don’t want 1040SCAN to capture the data on the organizer pages there usually isn’t a good reason to include those pages in the Review Wizard.
To access these organizer pages options, go to the
Processing Options
tab of the
Create New Binder
window then select the
Tax Return
tab.
If you select
None
and leave
Show all organizer pages(s) in the Review Wizard
unchecked, the organizer pages will still be automatically bookmarked in SPbinder.
If you want to use the above setting as your firm default rather than selecting it each time you submit a return, ask your Firm System Administrator to go to
FileRoom
>
Admin
>
Tax Return > Organizer Pages
.
