Integration with CCH Axcess Tax

Activating CCH Axcess Tax

Tax Software Activation allows you to add your tax software credentials to integrate with SurePrep services. Adding your tax software to SurePrep allows you to:
  • Create a binder (e.g., select a binder template based on your tax software)
    • Select a binder template and import client proforma from your tax software
  • Export client data (i.e., Export to Tax) to the tax software
  • Import client's tax return data into SPbinder
  • Create a Document Request List (DRL) for your client in TaxCaddy.
Follow these steps to enable CCH Axcess integration with SurePrep:

Open the PBFX file once it completes downloading.
Open the downloaded file
You can choose to use
Credential Authentication (Login Mode)
 or
Token Authentication (SSO/ADFS Mode)
.
Credential Authentication
Uses CCH Axcess Tax user credentials to log in to CCH Axcess Tax.
Token Authentication
 (Tax File Activation on web)
Allows you to integrate CCH Axcess Tax with SurePrep by using a secure token without providing your username and password.
The
Token Authentication
method is required for firms that log into CCH Axcess Tax using ADFS/SSO (Single Sign-On). If your firm opens CCH from a portal without entering a username and password then you must complete the setup using
Token Authentication
.

Credential Authentication (Login Mode)

Select
Add New Account
 under
Credential Authentication (Login Mode)
.
In the new line that's added, provide the following:
CCH Axcess Tax Account:
 Your unique account number with CCH Axcess Tax.
note
Your CCH Axcess Tax account number should have a maximum of 6 digits only. 8-digit account numbers are issued to CCH Customers for evaluation purposes only. You won’t be able to create a binder if there are more than 6 digits.
User ID:
 Enter the same user ID that is used to login to CCH Axcess Tax. User must have a Tax Transfer license from CCH Axcess Tax.

The user credentials entered here must have a Tax Transfer license from CCH Axcess Tax. Please contact your CCH Axcess representative to confirm activation.
Password:
 This is the same password used to log in to CCH Axcess Tax. The password must be 7 characters to 50 characters in length and contain an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, and a number.

Select the
Save
 icon Save icon to save details, select the
Cancel
 icon to discard changes.

For In-house returns, you can add only 1 user for an account.
