Export data to CCH Axcess Tax

Once you are done preparing a client's binder, exporting data back to the tax software lets you sync all the captured and updated data back to the tax software. Before you export binder data to the tax software, make sure the tax return that is being exported is currently closed in the tax software.

Exporting data to CCH Axcess Tax

Follow these steps to export data from SPbinder to CCH Axcess Tax:
  1. Select the
    Export to Tax Software
    icon from the SPbinder toolbar. Alternatively, select
    Binder
    , point to
    Export
    , then select
    Export to Tax Software
    .
    You can also export to tax software from FileRoom. Point to the
    OPTIONS
    column, then select the
    Picklist
    icon on that binder. Select
    Export to Tax
    from the dropdown menu.
  2. When the
    Export to CCH Axcess
    window appears, select
    Proceed
    to initiate the export process. If you have the return open in CCH Axcess Tax, then close the return before initiating the export process.
  3. The export process starts. The
    Proceed
    button is turn offed while the export processes.

    Generating XML File
    Authenticating to CCH Axcess Server
    Sending XML File to CCH Axcess Server
    Reading Tax Return data from the CCH server.
  4. A message indicating the export was completed appears. Select
    Close
    .
  5. After Exporting data into the tax software, if the user tries to export again without entering any new data in the binder, the
    Export Setup
    window appears:

Resolving Failed Export

The export process can fail under the following conditions:
Process Failed: CCH Axcess tax return currently in use. Please close the CCH Axcess tax return then select on Retry.
Description
: This issue appears if the return is currently open in CCH Axcess Tax.
Solution
: Close CCH Axcess Tax, then select
Retry
.
Process Failed: Unable to export with your current sign in credentials. Please follow the directions in the help center link or contact your firm system admin.
Description
: This issue appears if the sign in credential has been changed.

: Go to

, enter the correct CCH Axcess login credentials, then select
Retry
.
Unable to export with current login credentials.
Process Failed: Incorrect SSN or EIN error message appears if the Taxpayer SSN/Trust EIN is different from the Taxpayer SSN/Trust EIN existing in the CCH Axcess Tax return.
Process Failed: Password was not provided for the password return
Description
: This issue appears once you have submitted the binder in FileRoom, and then password protection is added to the CCH Axcess tax return.
Solution
: Remove the password from CCH Axcess Tax.
Process Incomplete: SurePrep was unable to verify if the binder exported to CCH Axcess successfully. Please check CCH Axcess tax return to verify.
Description
: This issue appears if the export failed without SurePrep receiving a confirmation.
Solution
: To avoid exporting duplicate data, check if the data exported successfully to CCH Axcess Tax.
  • Select
    Yes
    if the data has exported successfully to CCH Axcess Tax. This will begin initiating the Import TR process to sync all the data.
  • Select
    Retry
    to export the data again if it didn’t appear in CCH Axcess Tax. To avoid adding duplicate data, first verify that the data is not appearing in CCH Axcess Tax before you try again.
  • Select
    Close
    to close the window without performing any action.
