Restore tax files for Lacerte

When a binder is completed, you'll need to download the Lacerte files from FileRoom and restore them to Lacerte.
  1. Open
    x:\SUREPREP\Received from SurePrep
    , where
    x
    is your network drive letter.
    note
    You can locate the
    Received from SurePrep
    folder at the
    Admin
    ACCOUNT SETUP
    Tax File Activation
    Lacerte
    tab.
  2. Extract the tax application files.
    Select Extract here
  3. Open the
    Lacerte Tax Software
    .
  4. Go to
    Client
    , then
    Restore
     to open the
    Restore Clients
    window. Select Restore
    You can also select the 
    Restore
    icon from the toolbar.
    Select the Restore icon
  5. Select
    Browse...
    and go to the path where the downloaded file was extracted.
    Select Browse
  6. The client will appear in the 
    Restore Clients
    window. Select 
    OK
    .
    Select OK
  7. In the confirmation window, select 
    Yes to All
    .
    Select Yes to all
  8. It will now be restored into Lacerte, and you can check the return prepared and completed by SurePrep.
