Amended/Corrected K-1s and Consolidated Statements

GoSystem, Lacerte, and CCH Axcess Tax
When a corrected/amended copy of a source document is processed in a subsequent submission (and the original source document was already processed by OCR and exported to the tax software), then the system will delete all fields from the original source documents and capture all information from the corrected/amended copy.
If you delete any field from the binder and perform export again, the deleted field will also get deleted from the tax software.
If you delete any form from SPbinder after the initial export and perform the export again, the deleted forms will be renamed to
Discontinued (Form Type)
 (for example,
Discontinued 1099-DIV)
in the tax software. These discontinued forms have to be manually deleted from the tax software.
The system will also move the original copy of the previously submitted source documents to the superseded node of the Index Tree.
UltraTax and *ProSystem fx Tax (Tax Year 2022 and earlier)
When a corrected/amended copy is submitted in a subsequent submission (and the original was already processed by OCR and exported into the tax software), the following will occur:
  1. If a field contains a value in both the previous and subsequent submission (either the same value or a different value), the value from the subsequent submission copy will overwrite the value from the previous submission.
  2. A field that was available in the original submission's copy but did not appear on the subsequent submission's copy will remain. The system will not delete the reference(s) from the original copy. For example, in the first submission, Form 1099-DIV has a reference on Box #2b. In the subsequent submission, if there is no value available for Box #2b, then the reference will remain in the first submission.
  3. If a field group was 100% matched between the original submission's copy and the subsequent submission's copy, then the references will be removed from the original submission's copy and the whole transaction will be considered from the subsequent submission's copy.
  4. If a field group doesn’t match between the original submission's copy and the subsequent submission's copy, the references will remain on the original submission's copy. The system will consider the transactions from the subsequent submission's copy as well.
  5. The system will move the original copy of the previously submitted source documents to the superseded node of the Index Tree.
  6. In case of NONE service, if the user uploads the exported file (i.e. the original submission's exported data), while uploading the corrected copy, the fields that have the same value will have
    PR stamps
     (i.e. agrees to proforma), and
    TR stamps
will appear for new and unmatched data presented on the subsequent submission's copy.
  7. TR stamps will remain on previously submitted source documents. The user needs to check and manually delete the field from the tax software if the field is not available on the corrected copy.
