Verification Error Report

The
Verification Error Report
screen in
Account Admin
allows you to review all verification errors reported by your firm to SurePrep (typos, incorrect value captured, etc.). Verification reports include 1040SCANverify, and Outsource verification errors. When you or another user reports a verification error, a notification is automatically sent to SurePrep managers to track and analyze mistakes. RVE helps SurePrep verification managers improve verification quality by allocating proper resources to address the issue and avoid any repeated mistakes. Viewing verification error report in
Account Admin
allows you to see a consolidated list of all reported errors in a single location.
Follow these steps to learn more about viewing verification error reports:
To view reported verification errors, go to
FileRoom
,
Admin
, then
Reports
.
Select
Verification Error Report
.
You can expand or narrow down details by selecting the desired date range. Choose the start date from the
Calendar
icon next to
From Date
icon, and the end date from
To Date
 icon. You may also enter the dates manually within the textboxes.
Select the
Details
button.
The following details will be shown in each column:
  • REPORTER:
    Who reported the verification error.
  • REPORTED ON:
    When was the error reported (Time/Date Stamp).
  • SP CLIENT ID
    : Reported binder's client ID assigned during binder submission.
  • BINDER ID
    : Reported binder's FileRoom binder ID.
  • TAX CLIENT ID
    : Reported binder's ID in the tax software.
  • SERVICE
    : SurePrep service used to submit the binder (1040SCANverify Offshore).
  • BINDER OWNER
    : Owner assigned to the binder.
  • OFFICE LOCATION
    : Office location associated with the binder.
  • ERROR TYPE
    : Verification error type selected by the user (Prior Year Data Captured)
  • REPORTER COMMENT
    : Additional comments provided by the user.
  • FORM NAME
    : The form where the verification error was reported.
  • FIELD NAME
    : The filed where the verification error was reported.
  • IMAGE
    : Image of the field where the verification error was reported. Point to the image to see a full resolution preview of the reported section.
  • VALUE
    : The value captured by the verifier.
  • STATUS
    : Current status of the reported error.
  • SP COMMENT
    : Response from SurePrep review managers.
To clear the data on the screen, select the
Clear
icon. Clearing clears the data from the screen only, not from the database.
To export the results, select the
Export to Excel
 button.
Once the download completes, open the Excel sheet with the exported data. Select
Save
 to save the data to a new path.
Filter
You can narrow down the results using filters for desired columns. To filter results, select the
Filter
icon on the column header, select the desired filter options, then select
Filter
.
The  
Clear Filter
button removes all filters that have been either applied on individual columns or when the search option has been used. You can also select columns with filters then select
Clear
to remove filters for that column only.
If you want specific data to be exported, use the filter functionality on individual columns then export the filtered data using 
Export to Excel
.
Search
Use the Search box to search for the desired data. You can select
Export to Excel
to export the search results.
To view this help page, select the
Help
icon besides the
Export to Excel
 button.
