Fujitsu Ricoh FI-800R, 7160/7260, 6130Z/6230Z, 6140Z/6240Z scanner set up with PaperStream IP

PaperStream Capture can be used to create PDF or TIFF files of your clients’ source documents to be uploaded to SurePrep.
  1. Complete the installation of PaperStream IP drivers.
  2. Open PaperStream Capture and select the Help icon.
  3. Select
    Admin
    and the following;
    1. Driver Type
      : ISIS
    2. Sample Profile
      : Display Sample Profile
    3. Click Mode
      : Single select
  4. Select OK to close the window.
  5. Select the Scan menu and select Config.
  6. Select Binary, then the Create icon.
  7. Select 1, Name from the panel– In this window you can create or edit the document profile by following the steps.
    1. Name
      : SurePrep
    2. Description
      : B&W – 300 dpi
    3. Icon
      : Black and white paper icon.
  8. Select 2, Scan from the left panel.
  9. the Scanner Name dropdown, select PaperStream_IP fi-xxxx (xxxx=your scanner model) as your scanner.
  10. the Driver Profile drop down, select 001: B&W Default, then Details.
  11. A window will open for PaperStream IP (ISIS), select the preference icon.
  12. Select the Normal window option from the configuration window and select OK.
  13. On the
    Basic
    tab set the following settings.
    1. Image Mode
      : Black and White
    2. Paper Source
      : Feeder (Both Sides)
    3. Resolution
      : 300 dpi.
    4. Paper Size
      : Scanner’s Maximum
    5. Carrier Sheet
      : Off
  14. Select the
    Image
    tab to expand and set the following.
    1. Black & White Method
      : Dynamic Threshold (iDTC)
    2. Tone Adjustment
      : Defaulted to Disabled.
    3. Cleanup
      : On
    4. Character Thickness
      : 0 (Zero)
    5. Character Augmentation
      : 0 (Zero)
    6. Noise Removal
      : 0 (Zero).
    7. Background Pattern Removal
      : On (Standard)
    8. The White Level Follower
      : Automatic
    9. Vertical Streaks reduction
      : Off
    10. Dropout color
      : White
    11. Inverted Image
      : Off
  15. On the
    Page
    tab, select the following.
    1. Cropping
      : None
    2. Background
      : Black
    3. Scanning Area
      : Automatically set
    4. Split Image
      : Off
    5. Rotation
      : Automatic
    6. Edge Correction
    7. Edge Repair
      : Defaulted to Disabled
    8. Edge Filter
      : Off
    9. Hole Punch Removal
      : On
    10. Fill Color
      : White
    11. Blank Page Skip
      : On
    12. Sensitivity
      : 0 (Zero)
  16. the
    Paper Feeding
    , set the following settings.
    1. Multifeed Detection
      : Detect
    2. Action
      : Do not stop
    3. Condition
      : Hardware Setting
    4. Paper Protection
      : On
    5. Pre-Pick
      : On
  17. Under the Batch tab, set the following settings.
    1. Assisted Scan
      : Off
    2. Continuous Scan
      : On
    3. Job Control
      : Off
    4. Patch Code Detection
      : Off
    5. Barcode Detection
      : Off
  18. Under the
    Endorser
    tab, set the following settings.
    1. Digital Endorser
      : Off
  19. Once you have set all the settings, select the Save icon on the tool bar to create a profile.
  20. The Save Profile window will appear. Enter SurePrep in the description field and select OK.
  21. The profile will be saved as SurePrep, select OK.
  22. Select the Scan Option drop down and select ‘Enable continuous Scanning’.
  23. Select 3, Release Folder from the left pane.
  24. Select the File Settings drop down and set the following fields.
    1. File Format
    2. Black & White
      : PDF File (*.pdf) or Multi-Page Tagged Image File Format (*.tif)
    3. PDF Option:
      No need to do anything for this option
    4. Destination
    5. Output Folder
      : Find to the folder where you want your scanned documents to be saved
    6. File Name
      : Select Fixed and enter the file name
  25. Select Upload to drop down, select None (Folder) and select the SAVE button.
  26. Once you are done with the settings, the SurePrep profile will be created.
  27. Select on Done.
  28. Select the Help icon then select
    Admin
    .
  29. Select Settings.
  30. Select SurePrep from the dropdown and select OK.
  31. Now place the paper in the scanner’s feeder and select the
    SurePrep
    profile to scan the pages.
The pages will be scanned and will provide you with a sample. Select the checkboxes available next to one or more pages and select
Release
. This will release the pages after you select
Yes
for the question 'Do you want to continue.
Go to the folder path and check the PDF file.
