Complete the installation of PaperStream IP drivers.
Open PaperStream Capture and select the Help icon.
Select
Admin
and the following;
Sample Profile
: Display Sample Profile
Click Mode
: Single select
Select OK to close the window.
Select the Scan menu and select Config.
Select Binary, then the Create icon.
Select 1, Name from the panel– In this window you can create or edit the document profile by following the steps.
Description
: B&W – 300 dpi
Icon
: Black and white paper icon.
Select 2, Scan from the left panel.
the Scanner Name dropdown, select PaperStream_IP fi-xxxx (xxxx=your scanner model) as your scanner.
If you don’t see
PaperStream_IP fi-xxxx Scanner
as an option, repeat steps 1 through 3. If the issue continues, contact support.
the Driver Profile drop down, select 001: B&W Default, then Details.
A window will open for PaperStream IP (ISIS), select the preference icon.
Select the Normal window option from the configuration window and select OK.
On the
Basic
tab set the following settings.
Image Mode
: Black and White
Paper Source
: Feeder (Both Sides)
Paper Size
: Scanner’s Maximum
Select the
Image
tab to expand and set the following.
Black & White Method
: Dynamic Threshold (iDTC)
Tone Adjustment
: Defaulted to Disabled.
Character Thickness
: 0 (Zero)
Character Augmentation
: 0 (Zero)
Background Pattern Removal
: On (Standard)
The White Level Follower
: Automatic
Vertical Streaks reduction
: Off
On the
Page
tab, select the following.
Scanning Area
: Automatically set
Edge Repair
: Defaulted to Disabled
Sensitivity
: 0 (Zero)
The higher the sensitivity, the more likely that the pages will be detected as blank.

, set the following settings.

Pre-Pick
: On
Enabling the Pre-Pick shortens the interval between scanning each document.
Under the Batch tab, set the following settings.
Patch Code Detection
: Off
Under the
Endorser
tab, set the following settings.
Once you have set all the settings, select the Save icon on the tool bar to create a profile.
The Save Profile window will appear. Enter SurePrep in the description field and select OK.
The profile will be saved as SurePrep, select OK.
Select the Scan Option drop down and select ‘Enable continuous Scanning’.
Select 3, Release Folder from the left pane.
Select the File Settings drop down and set the following fields.
Black & White
: PDF File (*.pdf) or Multi-Page Tagged Image File Format (*.tif)
PDF Option:
No need to do anything for this option
Output Folder
: Find to the folder where you want your scanned documents to be saved
File Name
: Select Fixed and enter the file name
Select Upload to drop down, select None (Folder) and select the SAVE button.
Once you are done with the settings, the SurePrep profile will be created.
Select on Done.
Select the Help icon then select
Admin
.
Select Settings.
Select SurePrep from the dropdown and select OK.
Now place the paper in the scanner’s feeder and select the
SurePrep
profile to scan the pages.
