Add or remove members on a Member Engagement Team

Firms can use
Assign Members
restriction to limit which firm users are allowed to access clients' profiles and any binders associated with clients. With the
Assign Members
restriction, only users that are added to the client's profile will have exclusive access to the client's information.
This article will show you how to add or remove assigned members from the client's profile.

Add members to Member Engagement Team

Follow these steps to add team members to a client's Member Engagement Team:
  1. On the
    Overview
    screen, select a client tile to view the client profile. You can also search for a client and select the client tile from the result.
  2. Select
    More Actions
    on the navigation bar then
    Member Engagement Team
    .
  3. On the
    Member Engagement Team
    window, select
    Add Member
    .
  4. Enter the name of the member you want to add into the search box, and then select the name when it appears.
  5. The member is added to the Member Engagement Team and is immediately granted access to the client profile. Select
    Done
    to close the
    Member Engagement Team
    window.

Remove members to Member Engagement Team

Follow these steps to remove a member from a member engagement team.
  1. Log in to TaxCaddy and go to a Client Profile by selecting a client tile on the
    Overview
    screen.
  2. Select More Actions on the navigation bar then
    Member Engagement Team
    .
  3. The
    Member Engagement Team
    window appears. Hover over the name of the assigned member you want to remove, then select
    Remove
    when it appears.
  4. The
    Remove
    button will highlight (in blue) after it has been selected once. If you're sure you want to remove this user from the Member Engagement Team, select
    Remove
    again to finalize the removal.
  5. The member is removed from the Member Engagement Team, immediately revoking the user's access to the client's profile.

Tax year agnostic

Adding or removing assigned members syncs across all tax years in the client profile, the client's I'm following, and the current year's binder. However, binders created in previous years will retain the assigned members that were assigned during that tax year.

FileRoom binders
In FileRoom, Owners and Assigned members will only sync to the current year's binder. Binders created in previous tax years will remain unaffected by any new changes. If you are unable to access a specific binder from a previous year then please contact your Firm System Administrator.
