ONESOURCE Tax Provision October 2023 Release Notes

New Features

Reporting
Two new reports are added to the Reporting screen and is available in Local and Reporting currencies.
Global Minimum Tax Inputs
The Global Minimum Tax Inputs report is used to summarize components of your GMT tax calculations. The report is located in Other Reports for the following report levels:
  • Unit
  • Consolidation
  • Subconsolidation
  • Filing Unit
Ending Balance Summary
The Ending Balance Summary report summarizes components of your adjustments, ending balance, and tax effected ending balance for each Unit. The report is located in Deferred Support for the following report levels:
  • Unit
  • Consolidation
  • Subconsolidation

Enhancements

We are excited to introduce several enhancements and fixes to improve your experience with our platform. These updates aim to enhance the usability and security of our platform, providing you with a more streamlined experience.
Edit Description of Attachments (Tax Provision V2016 only):
  • We have added a Save Changes option to the attachments section so that you can edit the description and save your changes.
  • We have removed the Open and Save As options from the attachment section. Instead, we have added an Action column to Download attachments.
  • You will now receive an alert if you attempt to upload an unsupported file.
Lock/Unlock Prompt for Units and Sub-Consolidations
  • We have introduced a prompt for locking and unlocking units and sub-consolidations on the Lead Sheet screen.
  • You can trigger locking and unlocking prompts from the Action column, then Unit tab. The first click on a unit or sub-consolidation selects it, and the subsequent click triggers the Lock/Unlock action with prompts.
Confirmation Prompts for Sub-Consolidation Actions
  • The width of the Action column has been adjusted for better visibility of functions.
  • Confirmation prompts have been introduced for actions involving copying sub-consolidations and locking/unlocking.

Resolved Issues

The following issues have been resolved:
Combined Datasets
  • We resolved the issue that occured when combining two datasets. Some Units were taking the ending apportionment from the <Year> Q4 RTP Dataset and not the <Year> Q4 Provision Dataset.
  • After completion of an export job for Categories and Leadsheets, the file export is now downloaded automatically.
  • We resolved the issue in which an automatic download of the export file does not occur after a user exports Categories and Leadsheets.
