Release notes highlight new features and improvements made to ONESOURCE Tax Provision Classic.

New features

Classes & Subclasses screen
We added new functionality for managing subclasses. Administrators can now control which subclasses people can select. This functionality lets you hide certain subclasses from the Data Entry screens. We added the Hide column under the
Administration
,
Manage Data Options
, then
Classes & Subclasses
 screen.
GAM data entry screens
The
Manage Params
 screen has a switch called
decimalplaces
. When you enable this switch, all
GAM Data Entry
 screens will now display values with up to two decimal places.
Populate FX rates
The
GAM Payable Data Entry
 screen now automatically updates
FX Rates
 based on Unit rates for a specific date. For example, if the FX Rate is 1.000 on July 23rd and a different rate was applied on July 18th, you can simply change the date and tab out to see the new rate applied.

Enhancements

Tax rate impact
The Manage Deferred/Tax Loss Rollforwards section under
Administration
,
My Dataset
 screens for class datasets now features a functional Tax Rate Impact column dropdown. This dropdown determines how the tax rate change is treated in the Reporting menu. By default, the selection is set to
Deferred
, which affects the Deferred Tax Provision. Alternatively, you can choose
Balance Sheet Only
, which doesn't affect the Deferred Tax Provision.

Known issues

Tax Rate Impact column value
When using the new Tax Rate Impact column functionality, the following reports do not yet reflect the Balance Sheet Only and Deferred Tax Provision values from the database that are displayed on all other reports:
The following reports don't display the Tax Rate Impact column values, specifically Balance Sheet Only and Deferred Tax Provision, from the database, unlike other reports.
Subtotal column breakout
You can now see subtotal columns in the column breakout dropdown of the Deferred Balances report. These columns, designated via a parameter or in the Manage Deferred/Tax Loss Rollforward, provide detailed breakdowns by unit for the calculated subtotal.

Data entry screen errors
Workpapers
The
IFRS
 dataset type has been removed from the
Dataset Type
 dropdown on the
Function Wizard
 window for GET & SET functions, simplifying the options for all fields.
Column breakout report
The Column Breakout report options on Deferred Balances (expanded B/S) have been corrected to display the Rate Change only once, eliminating duplicates.
Class dataset
Subtotal columns in class datasets are now correctly positioned in the Deferred Balances (expanded B/S) report, adhering to the specified system parameter, dataset parameter, and Manage Deferred/Tax Loss Rollforward settings.
GIL Classic
Company admin users in GIL Classic no longer see the server name when they create a new instance.
