Release notes highlight new features and improvements made to ONESOURCE Tax Provision Classic.

New features

Payable FX rate enhancement
Once you enter
Unit currency
and
Date
for a Payable transaction within a dataset, the system suggests an
FX rate
that you can edit before saving. If available, the system uses the dataset's rates by currency and date. Otherwise, it defaults to the unit's ending spot rate.
You can import any exchange rate for any date and currency using the standard template's
#DSFX#
tab or through an API feed. Without a specific date and currency rate in the dataset, the system will use the unit ending spot rate, not the previous default of 1. Zero and blank values are no longer valid for
FX rate
.
To check the dataset for exchange rates: on the
My Review List
tab, select
Export
, and review the
#DSFX#
tab.
To set or view the unit
Ending spot rate
in the corresponding Dataset: Select a row in the grid,
More
from the Actions column, then
Rates
.
You can add payable transactions to a dataset and access the unit
Ending spot rate
feature on the following screens:
  • Review and Edit
    : When using the
    Review and Edit
grid, select a row, then select
    Payable Entry
    from the
    Data Entry
    dropdown list.
  • Payable Summary Entry: Select

    from the menu bar, the
    My Review List
tab, then select a row and

GAM — Group Questionnaires by Country
As a GAM user, you can now create questionnaires based on available countries in ONESOURCE Tax Provision. Signoffs are performed based on country-level questionnaires and you can copy the answers to other Units that have the same country as the source Unit. If you're a GAM Administrative user, you can go to
Administration
, then
Manage Params
to set
questionnairebycountry
switch to
1
.
When you add the parameter, the system will archive existing dataset-based questionnaires and replace them with a new screen for country-based questionnaires. This screen has columns for Country, Code, and Name. It also has
Edit
,
Delete
, and
Manage Questions
actions for each row.
Country-specific questionnaires will be displayed based on the country of the selected Unit. You can now use the
Copy Answer to other units of same country
checkbox to copy answers to other Units within the same dataset that are in the same country.
