Release notes highlight new features and improvements made to ONESOURCE Tax Provision.

Enhancements

Dataset rollover enhancements
If the Override Ending Rate equals the Ending Rate for a Unit, the system removes the Override Unit Rate flag while creating a transaction in a Rollover dataset.
During the “Scrunch Temporary Differences,” the system will create separate transactions with rollover beginning balances, where the Tax Rate Impact is
Balance Sheet Only
on Deferred Rollforward, retaining the existing class/subclass. For entries where the Tax Rate Impact is
Deferred
, the system will scrunch the rollover beginning balances using the rollover class/subclass.
We had a limitation in the November release of the ONESOURCE State Apportionment Integration for the Blended State feature, which is now available. When you populate data to Provision, the system lists it under
Administration
,
System
, then

. Double-click to view the imported file.
Bridge import update for handling empty CSV files
The system now resets values to zero for PTBI and Perm Diff for the selected Class and Subclass when you import empty CSV files via Bridge Import (OTP UI and Developer Portal API). This update replaces the previous behavior, where PTBI made no changes and Perm Diff deleted records, ensuring consistency with Temp Diff handling.
Closed Loop Script update
The Closed Loop Script now consistently replaces original values with zero-dollar amounts for PTBI and Perm Diffs, aligning with the behavior for Tax Balances/Trial Balances. This enhancement ensures accurate data replacement across all components and resolves prior discrepancies. Syntax updates are available to support these changes.
New developer portal APIs for instances and users
List of instances by tenant
: The development team has added a new API endpoint that retrieves instances linked to a specific ONESOURCE tenant.
List of users assigned to an instance
: A new API endpoint now fetches users assigned to a specific instance.
These APIs improve access to instance and user data for streamlined integration and management.
Audit Trail Report for approved, posted, and deleted journal entries
: The new Audit Trail Report enhances clarity by letting you track the lifecycle of Journal Entries (JEs), including Approved, Posted, and Deleted entries. You can now see details such as:

This feature improves auditability, compliance, and data clarity.

Resolved issues

You can now sort certain columns in ascending and descending order.
To view column details in ascending or descending order, go to

Bridge Profile copy process
: When users copy a Bridge Profile with multiple Component codes for the same Ledger Account code, the system now maintains the same order of Component codes in the copied profile as in the original profile.
Deferred Book/Tax Detail report totals
: We corrected the Deferred Book/Tax Detail report to address missing row totals and header issues. The report now accurately calculates and displays totals for all rows. They have removed unnecessary code prefixes in row headers, and headers now correctly display as Code, Name, and Beginning Balance. These updates ensure accurate totals and improved report clarity.
Dataset modifications
: You can now save changes to a dataset even if its relational dataset is archived, without encountering errors when selecting the
Save
button. This fix eliminates the need to unarchive relational datasets, streamlining workflows and reducing toil.
Audit Trail
: We fixed the issue where the Audit Trail displayed
Name
instead of the correct dataset name for certain components during dataset deletion. Now, all associated components are logged with the correct dataset name, ensuring accurate and clear audit records and reducing confusion.
Incorrect tax adjustment amounts in Workpapers
: We rectified the issue of incorrect Tax Adjustment amounts in Workpapers. Previously, Tax Adjustment amounts for Equity and P&L adjustments were incorrectly displayed as a combined sum instead of the selected type. Now, the system pulls accurate amounts based on the selected adjustment type, improving workpaper reliability across all environments.
Legacy State Tax Provision Report errors
: We fixed the errors in the Legacy State Tax Provision Report for Estimated Payments datasets. Previously, the State Tax Provision and Legacy reports failed to generate for these datasets and resulted in errors. Now, you can successfully generate these reports across all environments and instances.
Access control of shared reports for non-Admin users
: We resolved the access control issue of shared reports for non-administrator users. Previously, reports saved by administrator users using the
Apply to multiple units
option were visible to non-administrator users, even for units they weren't assigned to. Now, non-administrator users will only see reports for the units assigned to them, ensuring better access control and security.
