F2441-014-01 e-file error

For each 'SSN' or 'EIN' or 'TaxExemptCd' or 'LivingAbroadFrgnCareProviderCd' or 'DueDiligenceCd' that has a value on Form 2441, Line 1(c), the corresponding Line 1(d) 'PaidAmt' must have a non-zero value.
You'll get this error if a child and dependent care provider is missing an EIN.

Solution

  1. Go to the Cr screen in the Credits folder.
  2. In the
    Provider information
     statement, make sure that each provider has an
    SSN or EIN
    , or is marked as
    Tax Exempt
    .
  3. Make sure there are no extra blank lines in the
    Provider information
     statement.
  4. Recreate and retransmit the return.
