Screen 8283P1 - Noncash Contributions Less Than $5,000 (1040)
Overview
Use this screen to report noncash charitable contributions greater than $500 but less than $5,000, and publicly traded securities and other property if the deduction exceeds $5,000. Enter the information for each item or group of similar items on a separate input screen.
note
Use the 1098C screen, Contributions of Motor Vehicles, Boats, and Airplanes to enter information related to the donation of a vehicle, boat, or airplane. Contributions entered on the 1098C screen will be reported on Form 8283, Page 1 when the applicable reporting method is selected.
One Form 8283, Page 1 generates for each 5 input screens completed. The exception to this rule is if partial interest and/or restricted use information is entered, in which case a separate Form 8283 generates for each item with partial interest and/or restricted use information.
