Part IV - Deferral of Gain Section 1043 Conflict-of-Interest Sales
Information about property sold
If electing to defer all or part of a realized gain, enter information about property sold according to a certificate of divestiture issued by the Office of Government Ethic (OGE) in which replacement property was purchased. Form 8824, Part IV will be completed only if the cost of the replacement property is greater than the basis of the divested property.
