screen and the information that appears in this screen is automatically transferred from the federal F-2
screen. Enter any state-related law differences and details in this screen. Use the ALF-2
screen to complete the recalculated Alabama version of federal Schedule F.Schedule F - Expenses
Section 179 carryover
Use this field when there are differences between the federal and Alabama calculation of the Section 179 limitation. Enter last year's Section 179 carryover for this activity if different from the federal amount. For the current year, the Section 179 deduction is calculated based on Alabama income and any resulting carryover is automatically proforma'd to this field next year.
Depreciation adjustment (Force)
If you use the asset module, UltraTax CS automatically calculates the depreciation expense for each activity. Use this field to override any calculated amount. However, if the calculated amount is incorrect, you'll need to make corrections in the asset module to ensure that the state version(s) of the form(s) are correct.
