Net operating loss adjustment
Arizona did not adopt the special federal net operating loss rules for losses incurred during 2008 or 2009; specifically the carry back of the net operating loss for 3, 4, or 5 years. Enter the amount that exceeds the actual net operating loss carry forward that was deducted in arriving at the federal adjusted gross income.
Contributions to Section 529 plans while a resident
If the client is a part-year resident and a contribution was made while a resident of Arizona, enter the amount in this field. UltraTax CS does not automatically calculate the amounts entered in the federal 1099Q Screen for part-year residents. For basis tracking, the information should still be entered in the federal screen.
